Senior Manager, Customer Growth - Triggered Notifications

Job Description

Wayfair is looking for an experienced leader to own our triggered notifications campaigns across e-mail and other channels.  You will lead a team of marketers designing, launching, and iterating on our onboarding, post-order, and in-market notification campaigns.  You will help get customers to visit and purchase more frequently.  You will work cross-functionally with other customer growth teams, merchandising, category management, data science, and engineering to ensure we’re serving the right message at the right time to our customers. 

Given the strategic nature of this role, qualified candidates must have strong quantitative and analytical skills.  This role is a high profile e-commerce entry point for top-tier consultants, investment bankers, and others looking to enter into the e-commerce space or for an experienced marketing professional looking for a new challenge within an already rapidly growing business.  This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic self-starter with high operational acumen and an entrepreneurial itch to make a big impact in a growing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Define KPIs for triggered notifications campaigns and establish stretch goals for 3-6-12 month time windows
  • Define, pilot, and rapidly iterate initiatives, with an understanding and strategic view on all internal/external factors and influences
  • Partner with and leverage internal teams to help drive agenda and implementation
  • Closely monitor campaign performance and react to deviations from plan quickly
  • Relentlessly drive growth through innovative strategies and meticulous execution to drive step change improvements in performance
  • Institute rigorous test-and-learn methodology to achieve desired results
  • Develop talent within the organization, mentoring/developing team
  • Become an expert on our customers

Qualifications:

  • Track record of success driving significant results
  • Experienced Consultant or Investment Banker looking to make the move to Internet commerce leader; or experienced GM or eCommerce leader
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior and executive management; exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills that can be tailored to internal partners
  • Seasoned in managing timelines, delivery, dependencies, communication across teams
  • Analytically comfortable building a strategy and story using large data sets
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Able to pivot readily and react to real-time data
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Comfortable in a data-driven business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills including experience managing high performing teams
  • Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
  • Familiarity with Excel, SQL, and Test and Learn practices a plus
  • BA with strong academic record (strong preference for quantitative backgrounds: mathematics, economics, etc.) Top MBA preferred
