CastleGate Fulfillment has been launched in Europe and we’re looking for a talented, driven, and entrepreneurial Account Manager who supports us in upscaling our new business.


About the Role

The Account Manager must have an interest in innovating to solve business problems creatively, a willingness to hit the ground running. He/she will be developing and fostering relationships with key suppliers. This is a great opportunity for candidates interested in pursuing a General Management career track at Wayfair.

  • Develop and implement account strategy to achieve revenue, operations, and profitability goals
  • Own the full commercial value chain of the European CastleGate program for one more categories; this includes business development (lead identification, proposal writing, negotiation & selling) and account management (driving sales performance, leading replenishment process)
  • Build strong relationships with existing suppliers
  • Advance fulfillment customer expansion, including identification of new products to add, identifying new opportunities for expansion, and the development of relationships with new, target suppliers
  • Grow existing relationships through continuous analysis of performance and identifying new opportunities for expansion
  • Maintain industry expertise; keep abreast of trends and new product ideas
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams across many business functions to build new and improve existing processes; proactively identify and troubleshoot issues
  • Attend tradeshows to visit key suppliers and build new supplier relationships (4-8 times per year in cities such as Cologne, Birmingham, Paris, New York or Las Vegas)



  • MBA or similar qualification from top tier school, minimum of 3-7 years of experience in one of the following fields: consulting, consultative sales, logistics or account management
  • Successful entrepreneur who has built similar or related product/service offerings, especially in the logistics space
  • Innovative leader who is looking for an opportunity to lead product category verticals strategy and execution
  • Strong analytical experience and ability to operate with large data sets to identify trends and actionable takeaways
  • Detail-oriented and has strong client or customer management experience. Comfortable in front of C level executives
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, supply chain, or logistics is a plus
  • Fluency both in English and German
