Job Description

Wayfair is seeking a dynamic Sales Development Manager with advanced experience in B2B sales management techniques in a fast-paced growth environment. This person will be responsible for creating strategy and implementing related tactics for all aspects of B2B Sales Management training. This will include, but not be limited to, new manager onboarding, advanced sales skills and ongoing career development.

 This person will report to the Associate Director of B2B Training. He or she will be expected to quickly develop an understanding of B2B initiatives, processes and needs. This person must be comfortable presenting to large audiences of all tenures and levels, and will be expected to devise and optimize solutions that make the most of Wayfair’s resources. We are looking for a clear, effective communicator and relationship builder who is passionate about developing others.

 Location: Boston/Brunswick/Ogden

  • Partner with senior B2B management to build and implement a sales management training strategy that aligns with business objectives and growth projections
  • Create a manager development plan starting with new hire onboarding and continuing with advanced skill development
  • Conduct a best practice analysis and use ongoing findings to develop associated trainings (classroom/e-learning) and certifications
  • Assist Directors & Sr. Managers with onboarding of new managers
  • Support and drive the B2B Coaching initiative
  • Facilitate trainings
  • Assume ownership & continued development of the L.E.A.D. management training Program
  • Create a culture of positive leadership, coaching, learning and development

 Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years management experience, preferably in a B2B environment
  • 3+ years as a training facilitator
  • Instructional design experience preferred
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of account management and B2B sales techniques
  • Proven ability to develop and conduct in depth needs assessments with key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead teams across multiple sites
  • BA/BS required
  • Proven success building and optimizing sales management solutions
  • Articulate, persuasive communicator across multiple organizational levels
  • Savvy, quick thinking and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
  • Goal oriented, entrepreneurial self-starter
  • Ability to analyze data to identify solutions
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel required
  • Experience with Adobe Captivate or other eLearning authoring software preferred
  • An eye for design or video production skill are major pluses
