Senior Manager / Associate Director, Program Marketing

Job Description

Wayfair is looking for an analytic, creative leader to architect the Marketing programs supporting new Product introductions (e.g., promotion of new Augmented Reality App functionality, Installation and Designer Services) and our specialized categories (e.g., Mattresses, Renovation Categories). You will be expected to work with the relevant Product and Category teams to define a bespoke go-to-market strategy, translate it down to the specific campaign tactics to be run by channel managers, and measure performance. In addition, you will also be the on-Wayfair promotion maestro, determining what “house ads” run within the Wayfair.com owned and operated inventory.

This is a highly strategic role where you will build and develop new capabilities for Wayfair, drive and execute on an aggressive testing plan to drive rapid learnings. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about defining the next generation of Marketing and takes a data-driven approach to everything they do.

Wayfair is looking for a creative and analytical leader who has a passion for innovation and bleeding-edge Marketing strategies. You will be expected to build an exciting marketing strategy, define the key performance metrics, iterate to build out our stable of marketing plays, and measure performance. For this unique role, the best candidates will need to be a combination of analytically-minded, high-collaborative, and energetic about Marketing innovation.


  • Partner with key cross-functional stakeholders to define, pilot, and rapidly iterate marketing strategy
  • Work with individual channel managers (e.g., Analyst running Paid Search campaigns) to get campaigns off the ground
  • Analyze campaign performance, identify trends, and facilitate opportunities for improvement
  • Closely monitor campaign performance daily and react to deviations from plan quickly and strategically
  • Institute rigorous test-and-learn methodology to achieve desired results
  • Synthesize, codify and evolve our stable of Marketing plays, supporting new Programs and launches


  • 5+ years professional experience - ideally in marketing, tech, or management consulting
  • Senior presence able to clearly and consistently work side-by-side with a broad range of seniorities and functions from CEO to customer service to deliver complex initiatives on-time, on-budget, and over target
  • Seasoned in managing timelines, delivery, dependencies, communication across teams
  • High degree of customer empathy, understanding that “we” are often not like our customer
  • Thrilled by the prospect of running an “R&D Lab” for Marketing
  • Comfortable in a data-driven business environment and able to pivot readily based on real-time data
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills including experience managing high performing teams
  • A hustler with an ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Likes to laugh and has a positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
