Wayfair is revolutionizing how imagery is created. We are building a Creative team that will produce high volumes of compelling interior and product images in a way that’s never been done before.


We are looking for highly talented studio Creatives who understand lifestyle product photography — people who can use their talent and vision to help create brand experiences that will allow our customers to visualize our products in their own homes. Ideal candidates have experience working in a photo studio or on location and are comfortable learning new technology to do their work. Our team moves quickly; it is important that applicants thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under the pressures of ambitious deadlines.

Our Stylists in our 3D Imagery Team are responsible for conceptualize and lay out lifestyle imagery for Wayfair. Successful candidates will be experienced stylists who readily understand product photography and lifestyle branding. Our Stylists are using advanced 3D software to produce photo-realistic imagery. Don’t worry if you’re not already a 3D expert—if you’ve got the style chops and a little technical aptitude we can teach you the tools. 


Expectations:

  • Understanding of camera placement and how that will result in final image
  • Able to communicate lighting standards
  • Readily able to Interpret and apply brand standards
  • Mentor and give feedback to stylists and artists
  • A superb eye for style, visual composition and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, able to move forward with or without specific art direction. Recognize trends in home décor across various styles to appeal our wide variety of customers.
  • Able to tear sheets, and conceptualize your own inspiring vision for each shot.
  • Self-motivated to produce exceptional imagery with limited resources
  • Actively seek opportunities to increase knowledge of styling and décor
  • A strong collaborator, able to work with many teams
  • We’re all here to make great images, no prima donnas

 

Requirements:

 

Essential:

  • Professional experience working well with creative and editorial departments
  • Sufficient styling experience in commercial photography
  • Online portfolio that demonstrates expertise in applied styling techniques
  • Readily able to Interpret and apply brand standards
  • A superb eye for style, visual composition and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated to produce exceptional imagery with limited resources

 

Desirable:

  • Technical aptitude; experience with Photoshop, Sketch Up, Illustrator a plus
  • Understanding of camera placement and how that will result in final image
  • Able to communicate lighting standards
